Singapore has signed two agreements that will focus on leadership and research respectively, in an effort to help advance international civil aviation.

The agreements were signed at the opening session of the World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum (WCACEF) held at the Singapore Aviation Academy.

Singapore has agreed to partner with the International Civil Aviation Organization to jointly develop and conduct a two-day executive programme on aviation security for leaders in civil aviation. Seven of these programme will be run at global locations between 2018 and 2020.

In addition, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on research collaboration was signed between the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

The MOU provides the framework for collaboration in areas such as research, innovation and talent.
