Malaysia Airlines unveils themed livery

May 30, 2025

Malaysia Airlines has rolled out a striking new livery on one of its A330-300 aircraft to mark its role as the Official Commercial Airline Partner of Manchester United, ahead of the Premier League side’s next stop in Asia.
The freshly painted widebody, which combines the airline’s national colours with the club’s red, will fly the Manchester United First Team from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong for their post-season fixture on 30 May.
The custom-painted A330 is more than just a branding exercise; it is part of a broader partnership that has seen Malaysia Airlines operate a series of dedicated charter flights during the club’s off-season tour of Asia.
Manchester United players and staff arrived in Kuala Lumpur on 26 May aboard a special flight from Manchester, marking the start of their regional travels with the flag carrier.
Following the Hong Kong leg, the team will return to the UK on board a Malaysia Airlines A350-900.
Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines at Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said: “We are thrilled to support Manchester United for their Post-Season Tour and to showcase this unique livery that celebrates our role as a connector of people, cultures, and passions. As the gateway to Asia and beyond, we are proud to fly the team and their fans closer across the region.
“This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation as we connect communities and inspire shared experiences around the world. We look forward to creating more lasting memories through meaningful partnerships that bring people together.”
