IndiGo’s loyalty scheme, BluChip, has reached a major milestone, surpassing two million members just six months after its launch.

The rapid uptake highlights the growing appetite for loyalty programmes within India’s low-cost airline sector, as passengers increasingly seek value-added benefits beyond competitive fares.

Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo, said: “We’re delighted to see over two million customers joining IndiGo BluChip within the first six months of its launch.

“This clearly indicates the benefits of our loyalty programme, such as unmatched earning potential, flexible redemption options, and exclusive rewards, are resonating with our customers.”

BluChip allows members to earn points on flights and select add-ons, with no blackout dates for redemptions.

The airline plans to introduce programme partners soon, giving members more ways to accumulate points.

Unlike many schemes, IndiGo BluChips do not expire, provided members remain active.
