Taking place 2-5 September 2024 at the new El Alamein International Airport, the inaugural Egypt International Airshow will showcase Egypt’s leadership as a key hub for the region’s commercial aviation sector.

Organized in close collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egypt International Airshow offers a unique platform to contribute to the long-term commitments made by government and the private sector, fostering commercial partnerships across Egypt, as well as the wider Middle East, and African regions.

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy recently stated that Egypt’s civil aviation sector is undergoing an extensive development plan to boost its regional and global presence. With numerous projects aimed at expanding services, enhancing airport capacity, sustainability, and modernization of Egyptair’ s fleet, these strategic initiatives aim to maximize revenue and turn Egypt into a hub for tourism and investment.

The 4-day event will feature aircraft displays, cutting-edge technologies, innovative aircraft designs and an exhibition of innovative commercial aerospace products and services.

During the signing ceremony of Egypt Air as the airshow’s official carrier, the airline group’s chief executive Yehia Zakaria said: “Our aim is to exchange visions and ideas with civil aviation experts, major airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturers, and aviation service providers. The inaugural edition symbolizes Egypt’s commitment to the progression of air transport and advancing the aerospace industry regionally and globally.”

Alongside the main exhibition, there will be a civil aviation conference.

Focusing on the full spectrum of commercial aviation, defence and space, Egypt International Airshow is poised to become the leading airshow on the continent. With the support of all key stakeholders and having already attracted significant interest from the industry’s global players, it is anticipated that over 250 local, regional, and international companies will attend.
