CPK Airport construction work to begin in 2026
Plans for the new CPK airport in Poland have moved a step closer as the architectural consortium responsible for the project has delivered the final construction design.
The design includes the airport, a railway station, and a public transport interchange hub, and has now been handed over to CPK, the company overseeing the development.
The design is currently under review, with the acceptance process expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Construction is set to begin in 2026, with the first phase of the airport scheduled to open by the end of 2032.
This marks a major milestone in the ambitious project, which aims to transform Poland’s transport infrastructure and create a major new hub for both air and rail travel.
“This is another milestone in the construction and launch of the new airport,” said Maciej Lasek, government commissioner for CPK.
“This investment will drive Poland’s economic growth and strengthen the market position of the national carrier, LOT Polish Airlines.”
