Turkish Airlines has announced plans to introduce flights from Istanbul to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, starting on 10 December 2025.

The move will make Cambodia the airline’s seventh destination in Southeast Asia and Phnom Penh the eleventh city in the region to be served by the Turkish flag carrier. It is the only European carrier to offer direct flights to the city.

The new route is expected to strengthen trade ties between Türkiye and Cambodia while contributing to the economic growth of the Cambodian capital.

It will also extend Turkish Airlines’ presence in the Far East, bringing the total number of cities in its network to 20, covering 21 airports.

Flights to Phnom Penh will operate via Bangkok, with a schedule of three weekly services. Departures from Istanbul are set for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while return flights from Phnom Penh will take place on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Ahmet Bolat, said: “As Turkish Airlines, we continuously expand our network in Asia and strengthen our connections with strategic destinations in the region.

“The launch of Phnom Penh flights marks a significant step forward in this goal. Our flights to Cambodia will create new opportunities for both tourism and business.

“Additionally, as the only European carrier flying to this destination, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.”
