All Nippon Airways is preparing to upgrade its long-haul cabin with the introduction of new premium economy and economy class seats from RECARO Aircraft Seating.

These updated seats will be installed on ANA’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft starting in 2026.

“ANA is committed to continually elevating the passenger experience and the new seats represent our ongoing investment in providing customers with greater comfort and convenience on our international flights,” said Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management and Planning of ANA.

“We will continue to seek out and implement innovative solutions to enhance every aspect of the passenger journey with ANA.”

Along with more recline and extra legroom, passengers can expect features such as larger screens, USB Type-C charging ports, Bluetooth audio support, and storage spaces.

The new seating will be gradually introduced across the Boeing 787-9 fleet deployed on long-haul international routes.

For Premium Economy, the latest design increases the seat pitch to 40 inches, two inches more than the current offering. The recline has also been extended by an additional two inches, totalling 9 inches.
