John Vincent is the CEO of the International Federation of Airworthiness. His passion for aviation safety and airworthiness runs deep.

John’s professional journey began as an engineering apprentice. He worked on marine, space and aviation projects in design and development before moving to safety regulatory activities.

Joining the UK CAA, he worked aircraft certification and validation for a decade. That encompassed large and small aircraft and helicopters as a JAA team member.

John joined EASA in senior executive position at its establishment in Cologne, Germany. He held a key role in the formation of Europe’s aviation regulatory agency.

He rose to the position of Deputy Director for Strategic Safety. John’s team produced Europe’s first annual safety review and aviation safety plan. He chaired international safety teams addressing commercial aviation, helicopters, and general aviation. John was EASA’s point of contact for the accident investigation and the focal for research.
